In this successful case, a client brought several personal-use computers to us for optimization, as they were unused due to being outdated and slow. We conducted an analysis of two devices: an iMac mini (2012) and an iMac 21 (2009).
For both devices, we followed similar procedures:
- iMac mini (2012): The computer initially had 4GB of RAM. We upgraded it to 8GB and replaced the 500GB HDD with a 1TB SSD. Additionally, we updated the operating system to macOS Catalina, ensuring the system was fully operational and ready for work.
- iMac 21 (2009): In this case, we disassembled the iMac, removing the display, to proceed with the replacement of the 500GB HDD with a 512GB SSD. We also upgraded the memory from 4GB to 8GB and installed macOS Catalina. As a result, the device became fully operational and ready for use.
Both machines were successfully optimized and revitalized, allowing the client to repurpose these previously unused devices with excellent performance.
